QuoteMate is committed to protecting your privacy in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. What we collect
- Account info: name, email, password (hashed), role.
- Profile info: suburb, phone, trade, bio.
- Job & quote content you submit.
- Payment info via our processor (Stripe). We do not store card details.
- Technical data: IP address, device, log data.
2. How we use it
- To run the marketplace (matching customers and tradies).
- To process lead-fee payments and rewards.
- To send service emails, security notices, and (with consent) updates.
- To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.
3. Sharing
We share data with service providers (hosting, payments, email) under contract. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Storage & security
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. We retain data for as long as your account is active or as required by law.
5. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time from your profile, or by emailing privacy@quotemate.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
